About the Keeler Family

I’m Julie, wife to Matt, and mom to Mattison and Kate.

I love Jesus. I love my family. I love my kitties. I love to travel with my family (we’ve been to all 50 states and over 40 National Parks). I’m a newly retired Pre-K teacher. I founded a group where a few thousand of us are advocating for change on college campuses for students with type 1 diabetes. And I love to make candles! 

Let me tell you about my precious family.

I married Matt in 1997. He is a high school Science Teacher; he is the department head; he heads up the RtI in the high school; he runs the after-school tutoring. What he really is is an amazing caring person who likes to help others. He is servant-minded and it shows in everything he does. I couldn’t have picked a more amazing person to spend my life with.

Our oldest daughter is Mattison. She is a Life Skills Intensive Special Education teacher. And while she is just beginning her career, it is clear she was made for this. She has such an amazing, tender heart that I swear is made of gold. She loves to cook and bake and you will see candles inspired by her. We love anytime she and her kitty Rosie are home for a visit.

Our youngest is Kate. She is studying mechanical engineering. She is creative and artsy in all the ways. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just before her freshman year of college and why a portion of all of our proceeds will go to finding a cure for T1D.
